Project SpeedLine19P

High-speed passenger ship

The problem of high-speed passenger transportation on rivers, lakes and in the coastal zone of the seas, today, is quite acute. The "winged fleet" built in the USSR has exhausted its resource and must be replaced. Despite the fact that the SPK is the most efficient vessel in terms of power consumption for delivering a passenger at the highest possible speed, at the moment there are no opportunities in Ukraine for the development and construction of such a class of vessels. Serious research in matters of hydrodynamics, weight culture, strength and materials used bring the process of designing and building a SEC to the level of practically aviation technologies (as was the case in the USSR). This is impossible without serious state support and funding for such a program.

Another way is the creation of a small, simple, relatively cheap passenger ship moving in a transitional mode to gliding. In terms of efficiency, such a vessel, of course, will be inferior to the SPK, but in terms of the cost of development and construction, it will have an undeniable advantage. At the same time, the materials used (hull - steel, superstructure - AMg) and technologies make it possible to carry out construction at any shipbuilding enterprise.

Description of the ship. The ship is designed to carry passengers on inland waterways and in the coastal zone of the seas.

The SpeedLine19P is a steel monohull with an aluminum alloy superstructure. The wheelhouse has been moved forward to provide a better view. The passenger cabin is located on the upper (main) deck. The engine room is located in the aft part of the hull and is separated by watertight bulkheads. Necessary tanks of fuel, fresh water and sewage are mounted in the middle part of the hull and are detachable.

The main engines are two reversible diesel gear units. There is a separate diesel generator (if required). Anchor and mooring devices are located on the bow and stern parts of the deck. The ship is equipped with the necessary means of communication and navigation, as well as life-saving equipment according to the number of passengers and crew on board.

The ship can be equipped with a supply ventilation and air conditioning system.

Embarkation and disembarkation of passengers is carried out on folding ladders in the stern of the vessel.

Sleeping places for crew members are not provided.
