The luxury megayacht Bayterek had made her first pre-trial cruise in open waters on June 23, 2013, preparing to the programs of mooring and sea trials. The vessel was constructed by the ULBA project, developed by ProLine design and engineering bureau.
In a few days of the cruise in blue waters of Ust-Kamenogorsk reservoir in addition to the personnel of building contractor, the vessel was attended by many official persons: representatives of the Customer, officials of the State Enterprise "The Shipping Register of Kazakhstan", Ministry of transport and communications Republic of Kazakhstan, Director and Chief Designer of ProLine design and engineering bureau.
The program of the cruise included the tests and inspection of main engine and steering/propulsion complex in different operational conditions, as well as testing of ship systems and mechanisms, particularly – the functionality of mast lowering electrohydraulic drive. Special attention was given to the technique of passing the lock chambers.
The area of ship operation is full of bridges, chambers, rocky rifts, and requires from vessel the abilities of passing the shallow waters and places with low air draft.
After the successive passing of lock chambers, the speed of 12.6 knots (23.3 km/h) was registered in open waters of Ust-Kamenogorsk basin at medium engine revs. All main systems and mechanisms were operating normally, and the program of pre-trial cruise was completed successfully in full.
